Job Description

Product verification & testing for Application, Routing and Switching platforms

Job Responsibility

  • Work closely with development engineering, product management, and customer solution engineering team to test and validate features functionality and system test profiles for virtualization networks, network security and routing technologies.
  • Develop test strategy, test topology and test plan to validate the features end-to-end at scale with network security considerations
  • Understand various customer deployments and solutions across data center networks, security, routing and switching and validate customer profiles
  • Execute test cases and validate the solution end-to-end and document the test results on performance, scale, and security
  • Collaborate with development team to translate software requirements into high-quality test automation suites
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex issues and work closely with the engineering team on the failures and validate the fixes
  • Develop automation for the UI, API ( REST) and end to end
  • Review customer deployments and customer found issues and address any gaps in the test coverage

Requirements

  • strong experience in functional, system test and automation
  • Hands-on experience in developing test automation suites using Python (Pytest, UnitTest)
  • Knowledge of HTTP protocols
  • Experience with REST API testing using tools like Postman, Python request library
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
  • Technical knowledge and experience on Network Virtualization
  • Technical knowledge and experience on Network Security, TCP/IP and Routing and Switching Protocols
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in test plan development
  • Experience in planning and building large scale system test topologies with knowledge of test automation tools and software test tools and virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi & KVM, and Linux OS variants such as Debian, CentOS
  • Experience in performance, scale and convergence testing and analyzing performance related issues and improving the performance and convergence at system level
  • Ability to develop and publish solution validation document and test reports
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization: Product Management, Technical Marketing, Field Sales, Documentation and Development Team
  • Highly motivated and self-driven
  • Able to collaborate cross functionally to meet challenging goals
  • CCNP/similar or CCNP level of knowledge
