Performs visual, mechanical, electrical, and functional testing of BD instruments and Disposable product. Generates spreadsheets and reports to document test data. Set up, adjust, and basic operation laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes, tensile testers, precision balances, pressure regulators and other equipment. Assures equipment is in good working order and within calibration limits
Job Responsibility:
Performs visual, mechanical, electrical, and functional testing of BD instruments and Disposable product using various written materials i.e., test protocols, test methods memos and verbal instructions
Keeps organized, accurate and detailed records of test performed, including deviations from test methods
Monitors test progress and keeps requestor informed
Uses the personal computer to format spreadsheets from raw data and to. Includes statistical calculations such as standard deviations, average, minimum, maximums
Maintains a clean, organized test area
Follows Good Documentation, Good Laboratory Practices, and ISO 17025 in support of Laboratory compliance
Requirements:
Experience in word processing and spreadsheet applications preferred
Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practice
Ability to convert from metric to other systems of measurement and back
Ability to understand instructions furnished in written or oral form
Ability to recognize deviations from expected results and work with others to solve practical problems
Effective communication skills
Detailed written communication skills
Collaborate with Engineering and other divisions within the organization
Must have knowledge of Quality disciplines, including Design Control, GMP’s, Good Laboratory Practice
Nice to have:
Associates Degree (A.S) or equivalent from a two (2) year college or technical school: one (1) year of related experience and or training
or equivalent combination of education and experience
