Job Description

The Teradyne Product Support Engineering team is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, technically driven engineering student to join the Product Support Team in an intern/co-op role. Product Support Engineers aim to provide world class support to the current and future generations of Teradyne Integrated Systems Test Products. The Product Support Engineer role is a dynamic and challenging opportunity that spans an array of engineering disciplines. This individual will report directly to the IST Product Support Engineering Manager.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist with installation and integration of new equipment to discover installation issues and best practices (design for installation)
  • Assist with servicing and maintaining equipment in the engineering lab, including performing preventative maintenance (which will lead to developing a preventative maintenance plan)
  • Work with all engineering disciplines during DV
  • Work as part of the new product integration team by: Participating in new product team meetings
  • Work with design engineering on serviceability issues (Design for Serviceability)
  • Assist with Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) strategy
  • Work with the engineering (HW and SW) and the field team on escalations
  • Work with documentation team to develop and support new and existing procedures

Requirements

  • Field of Study: Bachelors of Science MFG/ME/EE, Electromechanical preferred
  • Must be self-motivated, team oriented, and hands-on
  • Eagerness to assist in troubleshooting complex issues
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
