Job Description

We’re looking for expressions of interest for Product Strategists. At Portable, we’re building products that improve lives. We work in areas of legal help, justice and mental health. Our clients are government agencies, nonprofits and research organisations working to solve big, systemic problems and we help them do it through product thinking, design and technology.

Job Responsibility

  • Help partners define and shape new ideas using product strategy, market research and commercial thinking
  • Support the growth of existing products by clarifying vision, mapping features, defining value and building roadmaps
  • Lead early-stage discovery, technical feasibility and co-design with end users and stakeholders
  • Bring best-practice to product development by balancing user needs and organisational goals
  • Help nonprofits and public sector teams find value and direction within tight budgets and complex constraints

Requirements

  • Experience in early-stage product discovery and strategy
  • Confident navigating ambiguity and turning research into clear product direction
  • Can shape and test product-market fit and value propositions
  • Understands prioritisation, planning and MVP definition
  • Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams and collaborating closely with designers, researchers, business analysts and engineers
  • Values-aligned, curious and committed to meaningful impact

Nice to have

  • Experience in commercialisation, business case development, go-to-market strategies
  • Strong foundation in feature mapping, product visioning and roadmap planning
