BGS CMM - Systems Engineering is seeking a high performing Experienced or Senior or Expert Level Product Security / Cyber Security Engineer to join this talented and fast paced team, reporting to the BGS CMM Avionics Manager in Long Beach, California. The engineer will join and lead and inspire a group of employees performing engineering, technical, and regulatory tasks that provide engineering solutions for multiple Boeing Global Services commercial modifications business units. The position includes responsibility for developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures. This role includes a significant level of developing and mentoring Avionics engineers in the areas of cyber and network security.
Job Responsibility:
Leads the development, implementation, and sustainment of product security and resiliency throughout the requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support lifecycle.
Leads the development and enhancement of system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements.
Ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support.
Leads the definition and identification of product security requirements for suppliers of components and subsystems for integration into complex Boeing products and services.
Leads coordination with governments, customers, suppliers, and industry to identify risks and improve industry and regulatory security standards and requirements for programs and interfacing systems.
Leads research and development activities resulting in innovative solutions.
Leads the advisement of customers on maintaining product security and certification, including security consequences of modifying products and services.
Knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and loadable/non-loadable software, supporting a variety of Boeing products, including the 737, 747, 767, 777, and 787 platforms.
Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
3+ years of experience in network and cyber security
CISSP, Security+ or other cybersecurity certifications
Aviation domain knowledge
Advanced knowledge of system security domains (e.g., information assurance, intrusion detection, software protection, software assurance, communications security, encryption and key management, network security, certification and accreditation) and applicable industry and government guidance and regulations to produce secure systems.
Experience working in a distributed environment and multiple teams.
Project management skills such as scheduling, resource management, and performance measures.
1+ years’ experience in directing project or security operations teams.
Willing & able to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally
Nice to have:
