Product Sales Manager (Roll Covers and Maintenance), Japan. Are you a technically driven professional with a passion for delivering customer value? Join our team! We are currently looking for a Product Sales Manager to promote and sell roll maintenance services, roll coverings, and related service agreements, as well as to provide technical sales support. You will serve designated Board and Paper mills customers in Japan, working in close co-operation with other Valmet Mill Team members and global experts. You will be responsible for sales within the Roll Services and Roll Covers technology area, including roll maintenance, re-covering solutions, performance upgrades, and lifecycle services for paper and board machines. You will be part of the Valmet Packaging Business Area Services / Roll Services organization within the Asia Pacific area. Your home location can be any Valmet key location in Japan (Tokyo or Okayama).
Job Responsibility:
Identify, contact and develop relationships with customers to build long term business in roll services and roll coverings
Drive shoe press belt sales in Japan region
Actively pursue sales leads by visiting customers (on-site and remotely) to achieve sales targets
Understand customer processes and needs related to rolls, roll performance, and maintenance, and propose suitable service and covering solutions
Define optimal technical and commercial solutions and prepare quotations together with sales support and technical experts
Negotiate prices, delivery times, and commercial terms within your mandate and close sales orders to meet revenue targets
Providing onsite technical services and presenting new technical solutions to customers
Requirements:
Master's or Bachelor's degree, for example in mechanical, paper engineering or other relevant technical field
At least 5 years of experience with paper or board making processes, roll maintenance, roll covers, or related maintenance roles is a strong advantage
Previous experience in service or agreement base business and technical/commercial negotiations is highly valued
Understanding of lifecycle services, performance optimization is considered an extra asset
Ability and skills work effectively in a matrix organization in an international team and to influence on people without having direct line organization
High level of initiative, commitment and customer focus
Willingness to travel approximate 50% of your working time mainly in Japan and occasionally internationally as required
Fluent spoken and written Japanese and good command of English
Positive attitude, willingness to learn roll technology and its influence on papermaking process, strong interpersonal skills, and readiness to face new challenges
Team player with a strong business mindset and eagerness for continuous learning and development
