Job Description

Bentley Systems invites talented individuals to join our high-performance team of Product Sales Engineers. Our Sales Engineers are responsible for generating new business for Bentley Small and Midsize accounts. Sales engineers in the industry play a crucial role in identifying, qualifying, and winning sales opportunities for Bentley Systems by leveraging their technical expertise to clearly and compellingly explain complex products and services. This is a sales revenue-generating role that supports new and existing accounts with Bentley software products, services, and cloud offerings, helping our users achieve their desired business outcomes. You will help grow Bentley’s market share within your assigned sales region. Successful Sales Engineers will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be self-motivated, and have sales experience and Industry background.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive sales of Bentley’s Structural solutions to both new and existing users
  • Identify, qualify, and close inbound and outbound opportunities
  • Leverage LinkedIn and other social platforms to actively engage and nurture prospects
  • Design and execute targeted sales campaigns, including outcome-based live sessions
  • Build effective business plans to generate new opportunities and consistently exceed sales targets in your territory
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including executives, through direct sales techniques and client meetings
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, accurately forecast revenue, and manage opportunities in Salesforce while fully adhering to the Bentley Sales Process
  • Promote Bentley’s value proposition to designers, engineers, contractors, and owners by aligning technical solutions with customer business objectives
  • Stay current with all Bentley commercial offerings, software policies, and solution updates
  • Negotiate sales and service agreements with professionalism and clarity
  • Confidently use social media and prospecting tools to drive engagement and pipeline growth

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales or engineering-related roles, preferably within an engineering organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil required, or equivalent training or experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Familiarity with Bentley STAAD/RAM or similar solutions (e.g., MIDAS, CSI, Dlubal)
  • Strong English communication and written skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives, prioritise effectively, and collaborate across departments
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and general business applications
