Job Description:

As Product Quality & Recovery Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: engaging and assisting customers, presenting and selling IKEA products in As-Is, repackaging products, assembling products, supporting quality work, considering sustainability, building relationships, and maintaining a safe environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions
  • Present IKEA products in As-Is using a strong commercial expression, selling these products with pride and setting relevant prices that are attractive to customers yet still generate the best results for the store
  • Take necessary action on products to give them a second chance, such as repackaging them back into a saleable condition
  • Assembling our products according to proper building and enclosed instructions to ensure complete functionality
  • Support the quality work in the store to constantly improve customers' quality perception of IKEA products
  • Always consider the sustainability impact when deciding when and how to recover products
  • Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that cultivates a strong understanding of product recovery, quality and compliance processes
  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment within the IKEA store, always ensuring the well-being of both customers and co-workers

Requirements:

  • A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently
  • A passion for building furniture, our products, and our sustainability initiatives
  • Experience with regular use of computers and IT systems
  • Strong customer focus, ensuring we keep the customer in mind no matter what we do
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment and ability and be able to think outside of the box
  • A safety mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive heavy lifting
  • Motivated, results-driven mindset that does not shy away from challenges
  • Comfortable with the physicality associated with this role, similar to a warehouse co-worker
