Job Description

As a Product Quality Engineering Co-Op at Boston Dynamics, you will join our Operations team to ensure our customers receive robots that are made to the highest standards. On a daily basis, you will work alongside our Product Quality Engineers and Operations support team to ensure that our products meet or exceed quality expectations. We will also look for you to solve complex quality challenges, acting as a key technical resource for cross-functional teams throughout the entire product lifecycle. To be successful in this role, you must be inquisitive and thrive on solving problems, have excellent communication skills and be willing to take on an ever-changing list of tasks and responsibilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Improve and refine inspection records
  • Analysis of inspection data and driving action according to analysis
  • Design, create and develop procedures related to the Product Quality function
  • Support efforts to automate data collection through various manufacturing systems
  • Design and create go-no-go inspection gauges, as and where needed
  • Support PQE as and where needed

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering or relevant fields
  • Understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes
  • Previous experience with Catia is preferred
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly with spreadsheets and data visualization tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

  • Create and maintain multiple project plans on an ongoing basis, producing detailed and accurate weekly project status reports
