Become a key player in ensuring top-notch quality! We are looking for a Product Quality Assurance Engineer who will make sure electron microscopes meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and manufacturing quality. You will act as the link between development, production, service, and customers – with the goal of preventing issues, verifying quality, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Job Responsibility
Take ownership of product quality for electron microscopy systems (SEM, TEM, DualBeam) with a strong focus on hardware and or software performance and diagnostics
Perform in-depth hardware analysis using lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, signal analyzers) to identify faults and validate system behavior
Lead root cause analysis of HW or SW-related issues across complex systems (electronics, vacuum, optics, motion control)
Collaborate closely with R&D and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve hardware failures and performance deviations
Define and validate test methodologies for hardware systems, including signal integrity, power stability, and system-level performance
Support manufacturing by optimizing calibration procedures, test setups, and measurement techniques
Review and approve technical documentation, engineering changes (ECO), and deviation reports with a strong understanding of hardware impact
Monitor field performance, reliability data, and customer complaints, focusing on hardware-related failure modes
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Mechatronics, or a related field (HW-oriented background preferred)
Strong hands-on experience with hardware debugging and measurement tools (especially oscilloscope-based signal analysis)
Proven ability to analyze electronic circuits, power systems, and embedded hardware behavior
Experience in failure analysis, root cause investigation, and system-level troubleshooting
Understanding of complex multidisciplinary systems (electronics, optics, vacuum, mechanics, embedded SW)
Familiarity with quality and problem-solving methods (8D, RCA, FMEA, CAPA)
Experience from high-tech industries (semiconductor, instrumentation, electron microscopy, or similar) is a strong advantage
Strong analytical mindset and structured approach to problem-solving
Communicative level of English
Nice to have
