We are looking for a Product/Process Owner for Azure DevOps Boards (including Test Plans and Delivery Plans) to define operating models, templates, and governance that enable consistent planning, execution, and traceability across multiple teams. You will partner with engineering, QA, compliance, and leadership to make the platform usable, audit-ready, and scalable.
Job Responsibility:
Define and maintain process templates (Agile/Scrum/CMMI or inherited)
Configure custom Work Item Types (WITs), states, categories, and rules (e.g., required fields, transitions, automation)
Structure Areas/Teams and Iterations
Configure Boards, Backlogs, Sprints, Delivery Plans, and portfolio views for 10–15 teams while preserving local autonomy
Establish linkage from requirements → user stories → test cases → builds → releases
Manage platform community (training, clinics, FAQs)
Conduct workshops, publish guides and playbooks
Collect feedback and metrics
iterate for usability and flow efficiency
Requirements:
Deep experience with Azure DevOps Boards at scale, including inherited/custom processes, Areas/Iterations design, cross-team planning, and reporting
Setup and governance of Azure Test Plans integrated with Boards and releases
Ability to design processes that produce audit-grade evidence (status histories, approvals, test coverage, release records)
Experience with permission models, change policies, project templates, and service catalog for new teams
Strong facilitation and clarity
Product thinking and documentation excellence (guides, queries, dashboards)
Data-driven iteration
Nice to have:
Knowledge of when to use GitHub Projects/Issues vs. ADO Boards and how to integrate signals across tools
Experience in regulated industries (aviation, rail, healthcare, finance) with formal requirements/test traceability
Familiarity with metrics frameworks (Flow Metrics, DORA, service levels) and value delivery reporting
