Job Description

At Amgen Breda, medicines are labeled, assembled, stored, and eventually shipped to various countries worldwide. Every day more than 1000 people from 38 different nationalities are working on supply chain processes, manufacturing, marketing, and sales of our medicines and clinical research into new medicines. As a Product Planner, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our life-saving medicines reach patients in over 75 countries. You’ll manage the end-to-end supply chain for your assigned products, leading key initiatives such as product launches, phase-outs, and capacity planning—while maintaining a strong focus on inventory optimization and cost efficiency. You’ll make a real impact by developing robust supply plans, solving complex challenges, and providing strategic insights that shape our operations. Your expertise will guide cross-functional decisions and help us meet the growing needs of patients worldwide.

Job Responsibility

  • Own mid- and long-term capacity planning in Rapid Response (Kinaxis Maestro), working closely with key resource owners to ensure a stable and efficient production plan. Consider factors such as demand volatility, capacity, routings, IDP supply, and lifecycle management activities
  • Drive proactive inventory management aligned with strategic goals, minimizing risks and ensuring continuity of supply
  • Identify and resolve supply plan deviations using data-driven insights, root cause analysis, and scenario planning
  • Simplify complex situations, assess impacts, and prepare data for stakeholder discussions and decision-making (DAI meetings)
  • Lead the monthly planning cycle, including preparation of the Supply Review, delivering scenario analyses that support key business decisions
  • Collaborate with supply sites and cross-functional teams to streamline operations and ensure a smooth supply chain flow

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Engineering
  • Proven experience in end-to-end supply chain planning and operations, ideally in a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, MedTech, food & beverage, or ingredients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Experience in Power BI, Tableau and reporting tools
