Square is seeking a Product Partnerships Manager to lead high-impact product and technology partnerships that help sellers operate more efficiently and grow. This role will have a dual focus on 1/ leading product partnerships that benefit Canadian sellers and 2/ supporting the Square product.
Job Responsibility:
Partnership Strategy Create and implement a partner strategy for maximizing the impact of a product partnership
Sourcing, Negotiation, and Deal Leadership Source, evaluate, and secure products partnerships aligned with product priorities
Cross-Functional Leadership Lead partner initiatives cross-functionally, aligning Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations around shared goals
Measurement and Accountability Own overall integration experience, including the quality as measured by adoption and usage
Requirements:
9+ years of business development or partner management experience, preferably at an innovative commerce or payments company
A demonstrated track record of success managing product partnerships and programs
Proven ability to build C-suite relationships and navigate external organizations both to identify internal champions and to influence decision makers
Expert negotiator with a strong understanding of commercial contracts and complex negotiating dynamics
Ultimate cross-functional team player: Establish yourself as the go-to voice for our partnership strategy
Deep comfort operating in the ambiguity of an ever-evolving product
Genuine interest and savviness in product – especially working with multiple product and engineering teams for a single partner
Willingness to travel (primarily domestically but sometimes internationally) for both internal and external meetings
