Job Responsibility:
Cultivate deep insights into the payments ecosystem, supporting Shopify's global product strategies through diverse partnerships and integrations
Master Shopify's merchant services products, collaborating with our Product team to leverage third-party solutions
Steer relationships with leading fintech/payment giants, identifying and evaluating new growth opportunities across networks, wallets, and other payment verticals
Own the entire deal process from initial qualification to launch, ensuring success through clear KPIs and growth targets
Collaborate with Marketing to create impactful co-marketing campaigns with defined goals and KPIs
Engage partners with product updates and QBRs to amplify Shopify's brand and thought leadership
Navigate contract negotiations and renewals, adapting to changing business priorities
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in building and implementing partnerships within fintech, commerce, technology, SaaS/BaaS, or financial services
Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying ideas across all levels
Proven experience in collaborative product development with strategic partners in the payments space
Strong negotiating skills to drive positive-sum outcomes
Robust cross-functional collaboration skills, able to manage multiple stakeholders and projects
Self-directed, thriving on change, and able to prioritize effectively in a remote environment
Nice to have:
Experience managing complex product partnerships with large companies
Startup experience where getting things done was paramount
