Our client is seeking a Product Owner to support and stabilize its payments and digital commerce ecosystem across multiple brands. This role is focused on owning and managing existing payment platforms and vendor relationships, not building net-new product features or driving a traditional roadmap. The ideal candidate will hit the ground running, take ownership of day-to-day execution across payments technology, and act as the primary liaison between vendors, internal technology partners, and business stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Own and manage client’s payments digital channels, including: Payment processors
Gateways
POS terminals
Kiosks and terminal applications
Serve as the primary point of contact for external payment vendors and technology partners
Reduce operational load on internal teams by proactively managing vendor relationships, issues, and dependencies
Partner closely with internal technology, digital experience, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution and reliability
Translate business and technical needs into epics and user stories in Jira
Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies as needed to support delivery and execution
Manage multiple initiatives concurrently across a fast‑paced, multi‑brand environment
Ensure awareness and alignment around: Payment reliability
Fraud considerations
Compliance impacts
Requirements:
4 year and/or Bachelor’s degree is required
5 or more years of experience in product management, ideally within payments, digital commerce, or fintech
Direct experience working with payments, payment processors, gateways, digital wallets, gift cards, or transactional platforms
Experience working with external vendors or technology partners and managing execution across organizational boundaries
Exposure to fraud, compliance, or payment reliability concepts
Hands‑on experience translating requirements into epics and user stories while leading agile events and managing delivery in Jira
Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel with competing priorities
Self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills for the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment
Nice to have:
Advanced degree in business, computer science, or a related field is a plus
