Job Description:

Product Owner role at HSBC, one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world. The position involves working in transaction banking with focus on Payments, Cash Management and Treasury Management, requiring extensive experience in product management and large-scale program implementation.

Job Responsibility:

Industry experience in Payments, Cash Management and/or Treasury Management with sound understanding of payment flows
Product management or product development
Working in large scale programs across client, market and regulatory requirements
Effectively work in a diverse and multicultural team
Communication across all levels, functional groups and geographies
Identifying opportunities, taking ownership and responsibility
Leading and influencing large groups without formal reporting relationships
Co-ordinating with multiple stakeholders at global level and getting necessary decisions taken within desired timelines

Requirements:

Minimum of 12 years work experience in Transaction banking, Enterprise, preferably in Payment's product management
Proven experience in product management, product commercialization, IT and operations, process improvements or project management disciplines
Practical knowledge in solution development, business case development, requirement analysis
Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze complex problems, interpret customer and/or operational needs and develop integrated, creative solutions
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or transaction banking functions with an exposure to Product Management
Experience in implementing large scale product development project
Familiarity with product governance and project management disciplines
Industry experience in Payments, Cash Management and/or Treasury Management with sound understanding of payment flows
Experience in working in large scale programs across client, market and regulatory requirements
Ability to effectively work in a diverse and multicultural team
Effective communicator across all levels, functional groups and geographies with good communication and presentation skills
Proactive in identifying opportunities, self-motivated, willing to take ownership and responsibility
Experience and knowledge on Swift and ISO 20022
Able to lead and influence a large group of people without formal reporting relationship
Ability to co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders at global level and get necessary decisions taken within desired timelines

Nice to have:

Product management or product development experience
Good understanding of HSBC payment architecture and flow
Preferred if has been working in a lead Business Analyst or a Product owner role for at least 5 to 6 years and be able to handle a team
