The Product Owner – Pharmacy Services will be responsible for the execution of projects and product implementation within the Pharmacy Services remit to ensuring seamless end-to-end delivery. This role is pivotal in driving project implementation in coordination with pharmacy users, software vendors and IT delivery teams. Ensuring all initiatives are well-defined, effectively scoped, and executed with precision to deliver optimal business outcomes.
Job Responsibility
Manage the scope, resources, and delivery of multiple projects across the Pharmacy Services Systems portfolio including vaccinations, bookings, compliance and any other assigned projects, ensuring successful delivery of the program of work within scope, on time, and on budget
Serve as the primary point of contact for all portfolio projects, ensuring effective communication and managing stakeholder expectations across the department and broader business
Lead and mentor the portfolio delivery team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance
Manage third-party delivery partners, ensuring they allocate the necessary resources and meet key project milestones
Collaborate with the IT project office and delivery teams to ensure structured and cohesive project delivery approach, ensuring compliance with established governance frameworks
Collaborate with the eCommerce development and delivery teams to ensure structured and cohesive project delivery approach, ensuring compliance with established governance frameworks
Ensure adherence to data governance, privacy, and security requirements
Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification – Bachelor Degree in management, project management, IT or related field
Prior experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager
Highly developed interpersonal skills with an ability to negotiate, influence and build strong networks with stakeholders
Demonstrated capacity to understand and assess long term broad business issues coupled with astute commercial judgement
Proven ability to organise effectively, delegate accountability and responsibility, solve problems quickly and communicate decisions clearly
Ability to solve complex issues and build organisational capability
A mentoring / coaching style with the ability to transfer skills and knowledge in technical as well as everyday terms
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
