Job Description

Experienced Mortgage Product Owner / Business Analyst with more than 10 years of expertise in mortgage lending, digital transformation, product lifecycle management, and business process optimization within retail and commercial banking environments. Proven ability to bridge the gap between business stakeholders, operations, compliance teams, and technology delivery teams to deliver scalable mortgage solutions that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Strong background in mortgage origination, servicing, underwriting, refinancing, and regulatory frameworks across end-to-end lending processes. Skilled in Agile product ownership, requirements management, stakeholder engagement, process reengineering, data analysis, and implementation of digital mortgage platforms. Demonstrated success in driving strategic initiatives, leading cross-functional teams, managing product backlogs, defining business requirements, and delivering high-impact mortgage technology solutions aligned with organizational objectives.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and manage the mortgage product roadmap aligned with business goals and customer needs
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define product vision, strategy, and priorities
  • Own product backlog and ensure features are prioritized based on business value and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking to identify product enhancement opportunities
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives within mortgage origination and servicing platforms
  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process-mapping sessions

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Functional Consultant within mortgage banking or financial services
  • Extensive experience in mortgage origination and servicing systems
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale mortgage transformation programs
  • Strong background working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including operations, underwriting, compliance, legal, and technology teams
  • Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, process modeling, and solution implementation
  • Experience working with third-party mortgage vendors and fintech platforms
  • Exposure to cloud-based mortgage platforms and digital banking solutions preferred
  • Deep understanding of: Mortgage lending lifecycle, Loan origination systems (LOS), Mortgage servicing platforms, Underwriting processes, Credit risk assessment, Regulatory compliance, Mortgage documentation and disclosures, Secondary mortgage market concepts
