Job Description

The Product Owner role is within the Airbus India - Methods and Tools (M&T) team, a transverse team working with different core engineering verticals in Airbus. The team works in a multi-functional environment providing digital solutions to engineering problems, utilizing the latest technologies and domain knowledge in various digitization initiatives across Airbus.

Job Responsibility

  • Work with Business and Architect teams to transform business requirements into features, breaking down features into user stories, functional and non-functional technical requirements
  • Collect business inputs with the support of Business Release Manager(s), share it with development team and gauge the implementation in all instances of PASS
  • Conduct workshops with business and other stakeholders to understand/define the complex business requirements
  • Usage of versionOne for managing backlog, features and stories and maintaining the requirement change control
  • Work with the development team to refine and clarify stories
  • Maintaining the PASS configuration for all platforms (test / training / production)
  • Analyze the business impacts on the PDM toolset in the E2E application landscape
  • Work in collaboration with Europe based transnational team (located in France, Germany, UK, and Spain) from India
  • Collaborate with Functional/Technical Architects to help in maturing requirement specifications
  • Validate Concept Phase Dossier (CPD), Functional Specification Dossier (FSD), E2E Test Scenarios
  • Take GO / NO-GO decisions in key milestone review meetings
  • Support key users during business test campaigns like Business Acceptance Tests (BAT)
  • Propose enhancements for PASS configuration management tool
  • Ensure ALM is updated with latest status on all PASS defects / issues / change requests
  • Support management with key inputs needed for decision making / resolving impediments
  • Provide periodic updates to management in the form of progress reports, project summaries, and other related documents
  • Coordinate and communicate regularly with experts in organizations around the world

Requirements

  • Engineering graduate with 10+ years of experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of Product owner/leader experience
  • Transverse functional knowledge on Airbus PLM landscape (PASS SSI, VPM/Optegra/CADINT, APS, DMU/TreND, PDMLink CC, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of PASS SSI functional backbone
  • Product structure & Configuration management principles
  • Release process and versioning process
  • System(Equipment) Installation process
  • Interaction with CAD/TDM/Conf-Mgmt/DMU Toolsets
  • Good knowledge on transverse processes like Full3D, Long Term Archiving (LTA3D), ESI Design Automation, PZ/RPZ management
  • Downstream feeding to Manufacturing and Customer Services toolsets
  • Understanding of PASS Libraries-role-group-user mapping
  • Working experience in PDM Platforms: Windchill PDMLink, ENOVIA eMatrix, 3DEXPERIENCE, etc.
  • Well experienced in Agile/SAFe methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills
  • Experience of working in cross-functional, cross-cultural and cross-national teams

Nice to have

  • Domain experience in Aerospace/Navigation Solutions/Geo Spatial technologies
  • Understanding of aviation regulatory and service provides requirements
  • Knowledge in TDM Applications (VPM, Optegra, Solings, PASS - CADint, etc.)
  • Understanding of Test Automation Framework
  • Working Experience in Project Management Tools: VersionOne, ALM (HP Quality Center), Confluence, etc.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and get things done in a rapidly changing environment
