Job Description

Our client operates within a banking environment that is rapidly redefining how organisations connect with their customers. Marketing and communication functions are evolving into data-driven, agile ecosystems where personalisation, real-time insights and seamless omnichannel experiences are no longer optional—they are expected. Financial institutions are investing heavily in digital marketing capabilities, analytics and automation to strengthen customer relationships and remain competitive in an increasingly dynamic landscape. Within this transformation, our client is looking for a results-oriented, collaborative and analytically minded professional to join their team as a Product Owner Marketing & Communication. You will play a central role in translating marketing strategies into actionable initiatives, ensuring that teams remain aligned, focused and effective. You will help define priorities, support agile delivery and ensure that each initiative delivers meaningful value for both customers and the organisation. In this role, you will work closely with a dedicated squad and a broad network of stakeholders across the corporate banking segment. You will bridge strategy and execution—ensuring that ideas are not only well-defined, but also successfully delivered.

Job Responsibility

  • Gather and interpret marketing and communication needs from stakeholders and translate them into actionable backlog items
  • Convert strategic marketing plans into structured squad backlogs in close collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Prioritise initiatives based on customer needs, business objectives and strategic impact
  • Ensure that all objectives and requirements are clearly defined before execution begins
  • Monitor backlog progress, team output and delivery performance
  • Facilitate alignment within the squad to ensure consistent and structured sprint execution
  • Conduct regular reviews to evaluate outcomes, identify learnings and improve future performance
  • Manage competing priorities, balancing deadlines, resources and stakeholder expectations
  • Act as a key link between marketing strategy and operational execution

Requirements

  • Ambition to further develop your career in marketing, communication and agile product ownership
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with at least six years of relevant experience
  • Your strengths are agile methodologies, backlog management, stakeholder alignment and strategic thinking
  • Working experience with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and SharePoint is essential
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in Dutch, French and English
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and build trusted relationships
  • A mindset centred around continuous improvement, flexibility and ownership
