Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Product Owner to drive our Satellite Positioning portfolio forward. In this role, you will translate user needs into clear roadmaps, guide multidisciplinary teams and ensure technical progress aligns with business goals. With your strong communication skills, technical background, and product management experience, you will play a key part in delivering innovative solutions that support Fugro’s global mission.

Job Responsibility:

  • Gather internal and external user requirements for products in the Satellite Positioning portfolio and define work packages, milestones and user stories
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap
  • Align the technical vision for the product with business needs in collaboration with Brand Managers
  • Co-create business cases and justification documentation for owned products
  • Take ownership of the project’s technical progress within the Fugro innovation project management framework, including risk, budget, scope, and stakeholder management
  • Maintain a prioritized product backlog
  • Refine and oversee implementation of backlog items with development teams in an Agile framework
  • Provide and organize technical guidance and support for products, assisting internal teams and customers with product-related inquiries
  • Contribute to product technical design where applicable
  • Work with multidisciplinary, often remote teams, ensuring timely delivery of development milestones

Requirements:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in technical sciences
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management
  • Understanding of software systems and the technology behind them
  • Fluent communication in English, both technically and non-technically
  • Knowledge of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) is a strong plus
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Jira is a plus
