Job Description:

You will be Product Owner for an agile development team in an Agile Release Train (ART) working within the SAFe framework. Together with the team you will deliver complex, high-impact hardware for Demant’s next-generation hearing aids. You will be part of the skilled Product Owner and Scrum Masters team in R&D, Hardware Styles & Engine in Demant A/S and part of the wider agile communities across Demant. The people in the development team are highly educated and motivated experts in mechanics and acoustics and the scope is developing next generation hearing aids (behind the ear platforms) and updates of existing hearing aids in the Demant platform portfolio.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drive Value Delivery: Ensure the team’s roadmap and backlog are meaningful, prioritized, and focused on delivering maximum value to end users and the business
  • Foster technical acumen, set Direction and Empower the Team: Clearly communicate goals and expected outcomes, enabling the development team to make informed decisions and take ownership of their work
  • Foster Adaptive and Agile Leadership: Act as a trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach—unlocking team potential, balancing well-being and workload, and nurturing a mindset open to change
  • Champion Lean-Agile Practices: Use data and hypothesis-driven insights to guide decisions, apply SAFe principles, and encourage systems thinking for continuous improvement
  • Facilitate Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: Structure and manage communication flows with technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity, efficiency, and alignment across teams and the organization

Requirements:

  • Good technical experience in one of the disciplines of mechanics or electroacoustics
  • Technical acumen to understand how the three disciplines supplement and complement each other in hearing aid platforms
  • Curiosity and learning mindset to bridge business, technical, and transformation perspectives
  • Motivated by delivering valuable products and by using Lean-Agile leadership to cultivate healthy, productive teams
  • Interest in technical skills and in learning about the product development process from early innovation to product implementation
  • Strong communicator—open, approachable, and curious about people, technology, and development processes
What we offer:
  • You will grow your adaptive leadership and product ownership capabilities
  • Grow your technical acumen
  • You will gain deep insights into new technology within hardware-software systems
  • As Product Owner, you will have significant impact on outcomes and deliveries
  • You will play a central role in change and transformation initiatives within R&D
  • You will join a leadership group of Product Owners and Scrum Masters committed to supporting our development ARTs and maintaining a fun, inspiring workplace
