Carex is partnering with a biotech industry leader to hire a Product Manager consultant. This role will partner closely with product and business stakeholders to define and deliver solutions aligned with customer needs and business objectives. The Product Manager will focus on Order Interfaces and Order Management platforms, supporting enterprise ordering workflows, system integrations, and operational scalability. Operating in a fast-paced, Agile environment, this individual will drive requirements gathering, define user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensure delivered solutions meet stakeholder expectations while maintaining alignment with defined project scope and timelines. This role is hybrid onsite in Madison, WI. Contract duration: March 2027
Job Responsibility
Serve as the product lead for Order Interfaces and Order Management solutions, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical delivery
Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate user and business needs into detailed documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Lead backlog refinement, prioritization, and sprint planning activities aligned to defined project milestones
Partner with engineering and integration teams to support HL7-based interfaces, Aura framework implementations, and enterprise interoperability initiatives
Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize ordering workflows and improve operational efficiency
Define KPIs and success metrics for Order Management initiatives and monitor performance post-implementation
Support implementation planning, user acceptance testing (UAT) coordination, and go-live readiness
Provide documentation including business requirements, process flows, gap analyses, and integration specifications
Partner with Quality Engineering to ensure delivery meets defined acceptance criteria
Facilitate communication and alignment across departments to achieve product goals
Actively participate in all Agile squad ceremonies
Communicate status, risks, and dependencies clearly to leadership and stakeholders
Collaborate effectively within cross-cultural and complex matrixed environments to build consensus across functions
Support and comply with Quality Management System policies and procedures
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Marketing, Business, or Finance
or High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree
Epic background or expertise
certification not required. Recommended background includes Beaker, Prelude, Bridges, and Order Management
Experience gathering requirements from cross-functional stakeholders
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Asana
Understanding of software development processes and product lifecycle management
Experience with healthcare system integrations and interoperability standards
Working knowledge of HL7 standards and healthcare data exchange preferred
Experience with Aura framework or similar integration platforms preferred
Knowledge of digital analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Tableau, or Google Analytics
A/B testing tools such as AB Tasty, Optimizely, or MoEngage
and/or design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch preferred
Nice to have
