Job Responsibility:
Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and prioritization decisions
Serve as the final decision-maker on product scope and sequencing, balancing client-specific needs, platform scalability, delivery risk, and long-term maintainability
Make and clearly communicate trade-offs, including when to say no to requests that conflict with product strategy
Protect core product integrity by enforcing standardization and limiting customization to governed exceptions
Clearly articulate what the product is and is not to internal teams and clients
Own lifecycle progression from Alpha (pilot / proof of value) to Beta (early adopters / controlled rollout) to GA (general availability
Define and enforce readiness criteria for each lifecycle phase
Partner with delivery and support teams to ensure repeatable onboarding, controlled releases, and clear communication of changes and downstream impacts
Ensure products are production-ready before broad client rollout
Act as Palmer’s product authority in client conversations
Lead discovery sessions, design workshops, and roadmap discussions
Translate construction workflows into clear, product-level requirements
Confidently present product direction, limitations, and future roadmap
Support pre-sales efforts, pilots, and rollout planning as needed
Own backlog definition, prioritization, and acceptance criteria
Work closely with engineering and delivery teams throughout design, build, testing, and release stages
Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release coordination
Ensure solutions meet Palmer standards for reliability, security, and compliance
Serve as the long-term steward of Palmer’s product ecosystem
Own product-level oversight of integrations across ERP systems, project management platforms, Accounts Payable solutions, and analytics and reporting platforms
Ensure data integrity, auditability, reconciliation, and observability standards are met
Collaborate on API strategy and third-party integrations
Advocate for strong logging, monitoring, and operational visibility
Define and track product success metrics, including adoption, usage, reliability, supportability, scalability/repeatability, client outcomes, and value realization
Use data and feedback to continuously refine and improve products
Identify opportunities to reduce delivery effort through standardization and reuse
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Construction Technology, or Consulting
Demonstrated product judgement, including the ability to prioritize competing initiatives, make clear trade-offs, and explain decisions in business terms
Comfort operating in ambiguity and leading through incomplete information while maintaining forward momentum
Executive-level communication skills with the ability to confidently articulate product direction, limitations, and rationale to clients and internal leadership
Strong understanding of construction operations and ERP-centric workflows, and how operational processes translate into scalable product solutions
Ability to translate business needs into product decisions, clear requirements, and acceptance criteria without over-customization
Technical fluency sufficient to partner effectively with engineering and integration teams (APIs, data flows, system dependencies), without owning hands-on development
Ability to push back constructively on stakeholders while maintaining trust and credibility
