This position is a critical role designed to drive the evolution of Twilio’s Edge Services, powering the critical gateway where developers and intelligent agents interact with our platform. As a Product Manager (L2) on the Edge Platform Team, you will focus on building next-generation API management tools, elevating the Developer Experience, and pioneering our new Agentic experiences. You will play a key role in empowering developers and AI agents alike, ensuring seamless, low-latency, and highly reliable interactions across the Twilio ecosystem.
Job Responsibility
Drive the execution and lifecycle of Twilio's core APIs, ensuring robust API governance, security, and high performance at the edge for millions of developers
Build friction-free onboarding workflows, interactive sandboxes, and headless tooling that allow developers to integrate, test, and deploy Twilio services instantly
Help shape how AI agents and LLMs interact with Twilio’s Edge Platform. You will execute on features that allow intelligent agents to autonomously discover APIs, understand context, map user intent, and safely execute complex workflows
Partner with Core Engineering and AI teams to design interfaces and protocols where human developers and AI agents can seamlessly co-author, debug, and manage applications
Partner closely with Engineering, Design, and downstream product teams to ensure a consistent, secure, and unified gateway experience across the Twilio platform without compromising the reliability of our Tier-0 infrastructure
Leverage usage data, API traffic patterns, and intent signals to deliver proactive, in-line troubleshooting, automated error handling, and contextual routing at the exact millisecond a request hits the edge
Requirements
1-2 years of Product Management, technical entrepreneurial (e.g., technical founder), or intensive software project experience
Strong technical background with hands-on experience consuming/building APIs and a foundational understanding of how web applications, headless architectures, and agents interact
Deep understanding of the developer persona, including their workflows, toolchains (e.g., Postman, SDKs, CLI), and what makes an API easy or frustrating to use
Strong ability to manage tactical execution at the scrum level while balancing the extreme reliability demands of edge systems with rapid feature delivery
Proven ability to thrive at the intersection of business logic and complex technical infrastructure, adapting products in a fast-moving AI and API economy
Nice to have
Recent graduates with a strong computer science background, startup experience, or significant side projects building applications with LLM-backed agents are highly encouraged to apply
Hands-on experience building apps using agents (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, or custom agent workflows) and exposing capabilities to AI via function calling or tools
Experience using API traffic data, latency metrics, and error rates to identify friction points and optimize platform performance
Knowledge of how to design seamless transitions across different platform touchpoints—such as moving fluidly from reading API documentation, to testing in a CLI sandbox, to monitoring production traffic at the edge
