Job Description

The Technical Product Manager is essential for managing technical products that meet specific business goals and customer needs within the organization. It involves owning the product lifecycle, including vision, strategy, technical delivery, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure successful outcomes. The role requires balancing customer insights, technical feasibility, and business goals to prioritize and deliver product features effectively. Job Responsibility

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle by defining vision, strategy, and roadmap to align with business and technical goals
  • Conduct market and customer research to find opportunities and influence decisions based on data analysis and customer feedback
  • Translate product strategy into detailed features and user stories, running the product backlog to support Agile development teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and collaborators to coordinate release schedules and ensure timely product delivery
  • Monitor product performance and quality in production, addressing defects and driving continuous improvement
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience
  • Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience in hands on technical role writing production code, solution engineering, or technical architecture in large scale company/ application/product environment
  • 5+ years of relevant Product Management experience in an agile software product development environment
  • Agile Methodologies: Proven success in delivering software with Agile Scrum methodologies and other commonly used tools.
  • Technical Writing: Strong requirements elicitation, and proven writing skills including the ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences.
  • Agile Project Management: Experience with Agile backlog/project management tools.
  • Collaboration: Experience with successive elaboration and ability to develop Initiatives, Features and User Stories that the DevOps teams can ingest.
  • Project Management: Experience in delivering large and complex business/technology initiatives as Product Manager or lead technology role.
  • Communication: Proven ability to effectively and efficiently connect with Leadership, while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present sophisticated technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences including executives and non-technical leaders.
  • Fluent with SQL, Tableau, other analytical solutions like SAS, SPSS.
  • Technology Knowledge of full technology stack on which your assigned product runs.
  • Business Analysis: Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to identify/analyze/synthesize product use data.
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Strong experience in API product management, including defining, launching, and managing RESTful APIs and platform services
  • Solid technical understanding of backend systems, microservices architecture, and API design principles
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications, user stories, and clear product roadmaps
  • Experience working with engineering teams (Java/Spring Boot preferred) in Agile/Scrum environments
