Do you want to drive the future of computing? AMD is looking for a key leader in the Product Management organization - one who is responsible for defining and driving the next generation of AMD Server processors. In this highly collaborative role, you will work with technologists, engineering leaders, and key influencers at partner companies to build our next-generation solutions. You'll be responsible for crafting the product vision, and evangelizing that vision internally and externally - ultimately launching a product that lives up to the goals you set!

Job Responsibility:

  • Ownership of a product generation portfolio within the Server Business Unit with responsibility for driving execution from planning through high volume production and end of life
  • Collaborate with engineering, business development and sales teams to synthesize market requirements into winning products for Cloud & Enterprise segments
  • Develop product specifications, turning into a portfolio of server products
  • Collaborate with engineering execution teams to ensure product requirements, goals and objectives are met and exceeded
  • Partner with engineering teams to deliver the promised value proposition and vision for Server products
  • Lead product migration across multiple generations supporting consistent share growth in selected vertical markets
  • Represent AMD's interests in discussions with key customers & partners

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in product management in Server computing products with technical experience in systems, platforms, silicon, and the software ecosystem that enables them
  • Product Leadership - Ability to define a server product, articulate its value proposition, and drive across the company to execute on that product vision
  • Technical depth - ability to engage with the customer, platform and silicon engineers to craft products that support business goals
  • Business Insight - ability to analyze markets, build business cases, develop pricing strategies and build product transition strategies
  • New Product Introduction - ability to lead and collaborate to drive new product introductions, bringing new products to market in concert with the Server Product Marketing, Customer & Executive Leadership teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, MSEE or MBA preferred

  • Ability to convert highly technical value propositions into a compelling customer story
  • Understanding of server product development including systems, solutions, platform, software and processor technologies
  • Outstanding communication skills to convey concepts and recommendations from C-level executives to working level peers
  • Ability to guide product definition using credible insights developed by interacting with end customers, strategic partners and by following usage, market, and economic trends
  • Excellent understanding of how a P&L works
