Job Description

As Product Manager for Reporting, you will own one of the most strategically important areas of the Phorest platform — our reporting suite. You will be accountable for ensuring the Reporting team delivers measurable impact for Phorest, our customers and their staff — driving engagement, retention and revenue growth across all regions. You combine strategic vision and product craft to ensure we build not just great features, but the right ones — those that help salons grow their businesses and help Phorest grow its market share. You will ensure that the correct people get access to relevant, consistent and trustworthy data that can be discovered and actioned easily - using AI or otherwise.

Job Responsibility

  • Own the Reporting strategy and roadmap, aligning it with Phorest’s overall product and commercial goals
  • Take accountability for adoption, engagement, and customer satisfaction within the Phorest reporting suite - across desktop and mobile
  • Define clear success metrics for every initiative while tracking and reporting on post-launch performance to measure impact
  • Lead structured prioritisation — balancing customer needs, usability, technical feasibility and business outcomes
  • Collaborate with Product Ops and Product Marketing to ensure launch readiness and GTM alignment
  • Communicate the “why” and “impact” of every major decision to senior stakeholders and regional teams
  • Lead cross-functional teams of engineers and designers to deliver impactful outcomes
  • Partner closely with Product Operations and Product Marketing to ensure the successful planning, launch, and adoption of Consumer product initiatives
  • Engage with regional leadership to understand market context and ensure relevance and localisation
  • Champion clear communication and structured documentation to keep all stakeholders aligned
  • Be the evangelist for reporting. Working closely with other Phorest P&D teams to understand what dependencies exist and what impact other team’s work might have on your team
  • Use data and insight to understand customer needs and market opportunities
  • Develop a deep understanding of how salons use Phorest’s reporting suite to grow customer satisfaction, adoption and retention
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes and business results through automation, integration and innovation through AI or otherwise
  • Build strong commercial cases for investment — articulating expected ROI and measuring results post-launch
  • Collaborate with Sales, Grow, and Customer Success teams to ensure customer feedback and adoption data inform future priorities
  • Maintain a clear and current roadmap with visibility across teams and regions
  • Translate strategy into actionable, measurable initiatives with defined success criteria
  • Write clear business cases, user stories and product requirements that connect to business outcomes
  • Apply a disciplined approach to product discovery — combining quantitative and qualitative insight
  • Communicate with clarity and consistency
  • ensure everyone understands what we’re building, why, and how success will be measured
  • Use data to inform every stage of the product lifecycle — from discovery through to optimisation
  • Review and report performance metrics regularly
  • iterate where outcomes fall short of expectations
  • Keep documentation, dashboards and artefacts up to date and accessible across teams
  • Maintain a bias for action — ensuring decisions are evidence-based and progress is visible
  • Balance strategic focus with tactical execution — staying close to the details while leading at scale

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Product Management experience, preferably with experience in Marketing
  • Previous experience operating in agile development
  • Previous experience working with reporting is a plus
  • The ability to independently manage senior stakeholders, drives cross-functional alignment and builds trust through credibility
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills which create clarity for your audience, articulating the most important details and messaging in a manner appropriate for your audience
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams to deliver business outcomes
  • You use company and industry qualitative and quantitative data to drive data-led decision making, using adoption, engagement, and monetisation metrics to inform direction, prioritise opportunities and validate outcomes
  • Expertise in assessing the level of risk vs. reward when making product recommendations and decisions. You can make recommendations and understand how best to test or validate these assessments
  • Proven track record of leading through influence across cross-functional squads (Design, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, GTM teams and Support), steering alignment through clarity and context rather than control
  • Seen as a bridge builder — energising peers, helping teams navigate ambiguity, and maintaining momentum behind shared goals
  • A can-do attitude with a growth mindset and eagerness to continually learn and an advocate for coaching others in the product management craft
  • The ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment with a high degree of autonomy
  • Having worked in the hair and beauty industry, consumer products or mobile products is a plus
