Job Description:

You will manage your own Plant Operations Solutions product portfolio. Following a holistic product management approach, your portfolio includes automation, plant control systems, analytics, advanced traceability, AI and digital services across the entire product lifecycle. You define and implement the portfolio strategy, monitor its performance, and drive mid- to long-term growth. To win in the market, you develop value-adding operational solutions, proactively market the portfolio and drive sales-related activities. In this role, you act as the key integrator between Sales, R&D, and customers, providing a comprehensive portfolio overview and serving as the first point of contact.

Job Responsibility:

  • You define and implement the product portfolio strategy
  • You monitor and analyze global market trends, competitors, technologies, and services to drive market intelligence
  • You continuously monitor product portfolio performance and competitiveness, and you formulate, evaluate, and prioritize new business ideas
  • You manage products throughout their entire life cycle and develop your assigned portfolio along the market-to-market (M2M) process
  • You coordinate marketing activities and define market launch concepts and campaigns in collaboration with the communications department, market segments, and regions
  • You contribute to marketing documentation, including sales presentations, flyers, brochures, whitepapers, and videos
  • You lead proactive and effective product management across the entire value chain-including equipment, automation, services, and digital solutions-and integrate Bühler's service and digital transformation into your assigned product portfolio
  • You create training content and support both internal and external training sessions

Requirements:

  • Technical degree with further training in product management/marketing, or a business administration degree combined with engineering experience and strong technical understanding
  • Ability to manage the assigned product portfolio independently across its entire lifecycle
  • Strong market focus, including customer understanding and a market-oriented mindset
  • Capability to anticipate and identify market trends and requirements
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a matrix organization
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, including the ability to give compelling presentations and interact effectively with stakeholders inside and outside the company
  • Solid understanding of industrial plant operations, automation, and digital manufacturing environments
