As our Product Manager, Optical, you are the visionary and the "glue" for our Core Hardware team. You won't just be managing a product; you’ll be bringing it to life. You will act as the vital link between our global users and our engineering teams, ensuring our Optical portfolio remains the gold standard in the Geospatial industry. You’ll have the freedom to identify market opportunities, define user requirements, and develop the go-to-market strategies that keep Trimble at the forefront of innovation. Whether you are defining the next high-value roadmap or representing our solutions on a global stage, your impact will be visible and central to our business strategy.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the Lifecycle: Take products from initial concept through release, managing everything from feature prioritization to market launch deliverables
  • Collaborate Globally: Work alongside R&D, Sales, and Operations across multiple time zones to deliver a compelling portfolio of Optical, GNSS, and Radio hardware
  • Voice of the Customer: Liaise with go-to-market teams to translate customer needs into technical requirements, justifying project proposals with data-backed insights
  • Drive Strategy: Monitor financial performance and develop growth plans to ensure our hardware continues to solve the world’s most complex geospatial challenges

Requirements

  • Demonstrated Experience: You have a proven track record in product management (hardware preferred), showing the ability to lead projects from concept to sunset
  • Geospatial Passion: A strong background in geospatial or construction surveying with a genuine curiosity for how our customers operate globally
  • Communication Excellence: The ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives for both executive leadership and non-technical audiences
  • Strategic Mindset: A fundamental understanding of financial metrics and the ability to use tools like JIRA and Google Suite to drive disciplined project leadership
  • Problem-Solving DNA: You are a self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments and can pivot effectively when priorities change

Nice to have

  • Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, GIS, Civil or Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred
