Job Description

Adyen seeks a high-impact Product Manager to build best-in-class, effortless, and instantaneous onboarding experiences through our suite of API, Hosted, Embedded Components. This role will create seamless experiences to accelerate global payments and embedded financial product growth which requires holistic thinking about merchant and sub-merchant problems and cross-functional collaboration with Design, Engineering, Analytics, Legal, and Commercial teams to simplify complexity for our merchants and submerchants.

Job Responsibility

  • Product Strategy: Define product vision and strategy focused on maximizing overall onboarding funnel performance and eliminating onboarding friction
  • Customer-Centric Development & Experimentation: Engage directly with all stakeholders to uncover hidden points of resistance and complexity
  • Build vs Buy Evaluations: Assess when to build functionality in-house versus when to leverage third-party solutions through strategic partnerships
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with engineering, design, data, compliance/regulatory, and commercial teams to build and launch pilots/MVPs
  • Performance & Iteration: Define metrics and KPIs to gauge the success of newly launched products, and iterate rapidly based on feedback, usage data, and changing market dynamics
  • Regulatory & Compliance Navigation: Operate effectively within a highly regulated environment, serving as the bridge between product innovation and regulatory requirements
  • Stakeholder Management: Present product concepts, updates, and results to executive leadership and secure buy-in on product directions and investments

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a Fintech SaaS environment or growth related roles (B2B or B2C), successfully leading cross-functional teams to develop and launch innovative software solutions

  • Own the performance and continuous improvement of Sokin's client onboarding experience, diagnosing conversion rates across regions and systematically eliminating the friction that's causing users to drop off
  • Be responsible for diving deep into regional conversion data, identifying patterns in drop-off behavior, conducting user research to understand what's confusing or blocking people, and working with compliance and operations to distinguish between necessary friction and unnecessary complexity
  • Make our onboarding form simpler and more intuitive
  • Examine every field, every step, and every piece of copy, questioning what's actually required versus what's habit
  • A/B test form variations, optimize field validation, improve error messaging, and build conditional logic that shows users only what's relevant to them
  • Evaluate whether our document requirements make sense for different markets, whether our language and instructions are clear, and where third-party services (KYC providers, document verification) might be contributing to poor conversion through UX issues, high failure rates, or regional coverage gaps
  • Work closely with engineering to implement changes quickly and collaborate with operations to streamline manual review processes
  • Be accountable for onboarding conversion metrics, regional performance benchmarks, and the operational efficiency of our automated flows
  • Define and communicate the product strategy and roadmap aligned to the companies vision and strategy
