At Microsoft, we are building trusted, developer-centric AI platforms that enable organizations to build, deploy, and operate AI systems at global scale. Microsoft Foundry provides a unified platform for experimentation, training, deployment, monitoring, and governance of AI workloads. As a Product Manager II, you will own and deliver specific features or components within Azure AI Foundry and Azure Machine Learning. You will work closely with engineers and partner PMs to build platform capabilities that improve developer productivity and enable AI/ML workloads at scale. This role is focused on independently delivering well-defined platform features, translating customer needs into clear requirements, and executing high-quality features end-to-end within a scoped area. This role offers the opportunity to help define durable platform abstractions that unlock innovation for developers, data scientists, and ML engineers, while contributing to Microsoft’s long-term AI platform direction.
Job Responsibility:
Own clearly scoped features or components within Azure AI Foundry / Azure ML and drive delivery from concept to release
Translate customer scenarios and feedback into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Work directly with engineering to ensure features are delivered on time, meet quality expectations, and align with defined requirements
Support feature prioritization and backlog management within your area, balancing customer needs, engineering constraints, and timelines
Collect and analyze customer feedback, telemetry, and usage signals to improve feature quality and usability
Collaborate with partner PMs and teams to ensure alignment on shared components and dependencies
Participate in customer discussions, internal reviews, and sprint rituals to build domain understanding and product intuition
Improve developer experience through incremental enhancements to APIs, SDKs, or workflows in your owned area
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field
Experience (typically 2–5 years) in product management, software engineering, or related roles
Demonstrated ability to deliver features or components end-to-end in a product or service environment
Basic understanding of cloud services, distributed systems, or developer platforms
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly define requirements
Problem-solving mindset with ability to work in structured, guidance-driven environments
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Nice to have:
Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) or developer-facing products
Familiarity with APIs, SDKs, or service-based architectures
Exposure to AI/ML or data-related workloads
Experience using data or telemetry to evaluate feature usage and quality
