Microsoft AI is transforming how people discover, understand, and act on information at global scale. Within Bing, the Whole Page team is responsible for how traditional search results and AI‑generated responses come together into a single, coherent page that users trust, engage with, and return to. As a Product Manager II, you will own and evolve meaningful parts of the whole‑page search experience—where ranking systems, AI answers, structured modules, and UX patterns intersect. This role sits at the boundary of classic search and AI‑first experiences, requiring solid judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and a bias toward learning through experimentation. You will translate customer needs and product strategy into shipped features that measurably improve user satisfaction and business outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Own end‑to‑end product workstreams within Bing Whole Page Experiences, from problem discovery through launch, measurement, and iteration
Identify customer needs and unmet opportunities using quantitative signals, qualitative insights, and usage data, with minimal guidance
Shape how AI‑powered answers integrate with traditional search results to create clear, useful, and trustworthy whole‑page experiences
Frame product problems using data, user signals, and system constraints, and propose solution options with clear UX, quality, and technical trade‑offs
Partner closely with engineering, design, data science, and research to define requirements, success criteria, and delivery plans for high‑quality experiences
Define success metrics (e.g., engagement, satisfaction, quality) and design experiments to validate user and business impact
Analyze usage, engagement, and quality signals to guide iteration, improve outcomes, and inform near‑term roadmap decisions
Contribute to roadmap prioritization by evaluating short‑term investment opportunities and aligning feature work with product goals
Collaborate with Product Marketing and partner teams to support launch readiness, preview‑to‑GA transitions, and customer communication for owned features
Communicate product intent, decisions, and results to stakeholders through clear narratives and data‑backed insights
Operate effectively as an independent individual contributor in evolving, AI‑driven problem spaces where requirements are not always fully defined upfront
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
3+ years of experience driving measurable improvements in product outcomes through experimentation
Demonstrated experience taking product features or experiences from concept to launch in partnership with design and engineering
Proven ability to improve product metrics through iteration, experimentation, and data‑informed decision making
Experience working on medium‑ to large‑scale, customer‑facing products
Ability to operate as an independent individual contributor without people‑management responsibilities
Experience modernizing or evolving established products or user experiences
Familiarity with AI‑powered or data‑driven consumer products (deep ML expertise not required)
Solid product craft and UX instincts, including shaping end‑to‑end user journeys
Ability to influence decisions through sound judgment, structured thinking, and clear storytelling
