Job Description

As a Product Manager, Credit Automation at Uncapped, you will join a team of risk professionals, data scientists and engineers and you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth and success. You will sit at the vital intersection of credit risk, financial engineering, and product innovation to deliver data–driven credit capabilities, such as decisioning engines, state-of-the-art risk models and real-time credit management tools across the entire customer lifecycle.

Job Responsibility

  • Product Risk Leadership: Act as the connector between Data Scientists, Credit Risk Managers and Engineers to turn complex data into production-ready features
  • Risk Strategy & Roadmap: Architect and co-own the risk product vision, prioritize high-impact features and manage the roadmap
  • Data Integration: Identify and integrate new data sources (e.g., banking APIs, marketing spend data, e-commerce platform insights) to improve credit decisioning accuracy
  • Risk Engine Ownership: Lead the strategy and roadmap for Uncapped’s risk engine that includes a decision engine for automated decisions and underwriting tooling for manual decisions, ensuring we can process applications in seconds and hours rather than weeks
  • Monitoring & Recovery: Build products and dashboards that monitor the health of the portfolio in real-time and automate early-warning signals for potential defaults
  • Customer Friction Reduction: Balance the need for deep due diligence with a world-class user experience, ensuring that "Risk" doesn't become a bottleneck for "Growth."

Requirements

  • 5+ years in Product Management with Risk experience, specifically within Fintech, Lending, or Credit Risk ideally in B2B platforms
  • Commercial Acumen: A deep understanding of how lending businesses make money and how risk impacts the bottom line
  • Technical Literacy: Comfort with SQL and data models. You don't need to write the code, but you must understand how risk models and APIs work
  • Product Management: You should have a strong understanding of agile methodologies and a proven track record of self-service/automation cross-border projects
  • Experience in a fast-paced, "0-to-1" startup environment where you are expected to be hands-on and strategic simultaneously
