Job Description

Our client is a #1-rated construction accounting platform (Forbes Advisor — three consecutive years) powering 900+ General Contractors, Developers, and Specialty Contractors across North America, ANZ, and the UAE. We're looking for a Product Manager who has lived construction from both sides of the fence — someone who has managed real projects in the field and can translate that firsthand operational knowledge into exceptional software. This is not a 'learn the industry on the job' role. The ideal candidate has worn a hard hat and run sprints. You will own a core product area — defining the roadmap, championing the customer's voice, and partnering with Engineering, Design, Implementation, and Sales to ship features that meaningfully improve how contractors run their businesses. This role is predominantly remote (~80%), with approximately two in-person team days per month in the GTA.

Job Responsibility

  • Own the product roadmap for your assigned module(s) — project management, field operations, change order management, subcontractor workflows, or WIP reporting
  • Translate construction workflows, customer pain points, and competitive signals into a prioritized, outcome-driven backlog
  • Partner with the CPO to align roadmap decisions with Premier's overall platform strategy and company growth objectives
  • Monitor the competitive landscape across construction ERP, field management, and project collaboration tools (Procore, Buildertrend, Viewpoint, Sage, etc.)
  • Conduct ongoing discovery with GCs, developers, project teams, and field supers
  • Partner with the Implementation and Client Experience teams to systematically surface product gaps
  • Evaluate feasibility, scope, and impact of proposed solutions
  • Write clear, detailed product requirements — user stories, acceptance criteria, workflow diagrams
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and cross-functional delivery with Engineering and Design
  • Define and track success metrics (feature adoption, time-to-value, support deflection, NPS) and iterate based on data
  • Own go-to-market enablement for new features: sales training, release notes, in-app onboarding flows, and client communications
  • Act as the voice of the contractor inside Premier
  • Present roadmap updates, product strategy, and business cases to leadership, sales, and key enterprise clients
  • Drive beta programs, feature previews, and structured enterprise feedback loops

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hands-on construction project management experience in a GC, developer, owner's rep, or specialty contractor environment
  • 2–4 years of software product management experience, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Proven ability to bridge construction domain knowledge with software product development
  • Experience writing product specs, running agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives), and shipping features in a fast-moving team
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with construction ERP, accounting, or project management software (Procore, Viewpoint, Sage, Buildertrend, or similar)
  • Exposure to construction financials: job costing, WIP reporting, change order management, subcontractor pay applications
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSPO, or equivalent certification
  • Experience working in a post-acquisition or Constellation Software portfolio company environment
  • Background in construction tech, construction-adjacent SaaS, or vertical market software

What we offer

  • Rare Role, Real Impact
  • Stability + Growth Upside
  • Flexibility & Culture
