Job Description:

With a strong mechanical aptitude, the successful candidate will develop and grow the products in our Filtration category. Using effective product management methodologies, you will work closely with the team to deliver new product development and enhancements in the category.

Job Responsibility:

  • Research & develop new product ranges, review and maintain a range of products to meet business & market objectives and ensure sustained success (performance, sales, service)
  • Manage the product lifecycle for appropriate ranges
  • Ensure products meet relevant quality standards and specifications
  • Manage packaging briefs for new products
  • Ensure all products are accurately catalogued
  • Develop methodologies for calculating and tracking the market size and share of the categories
  • Monitor and analyse the market and competitive environment
  • Keep up to date with automotive industry developments
  • Respond to technical inquiries from our internal and external customers
  • Represent the Filtration Category at Trade Shows (Ability to travel interstate and overseas required)

Requirements:

  • Have a mechanical aptitude (automotive, engineering, aeronautical etc)
  • Possess Product Management experience 5 years + (flexible)
  • Tertiary or trade qualification is highly desirable
  • Have experience sourcing products from local and overseas suppliers
  • An understanding of sales analysis and forecasting
  • Possess technical experience relevant to portfolio products
  • Effective client management – facing work, build rapport
  • Intermediate MS Office
  • The ability to work across a broad product suite and take a pragmatic approach to your work
