Job Description:

Product Manager – Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouse. We are Azure Data, a Microsoft team driving the future of data processing in the Microsoft Cloud. Our engineering and product teams build some of the most advanced, large-scale data processing services in the world used daily by millions of developers and the world’s largest enterprises. Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouse is our flagship modern data warehousing service. It powers analytics workloads at massive scale and is built on a fully serverless, cloud‑native architecture. We delivered a new analytics engine that enables users to run SQL directly over data lakes, scaling to hundreds of terabytes with no infrastructure management. There is no comparable solution in the market today and we’re just getting started. At Microsoft, our mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. We embrace a growth mindset, innovate with purpose, and collaborate to deliver meaningful impact. Our culture is grounded in respect, integrity, accountability, and inclusion, so everyone can thrive. We are looking for a Product Manager to work closely with customers and our engineering teams to define, build, and evolve next‑generation data platform and data warehousing capabilities in Microsoft Fabric. Our team actively uses AI tools including Copilots, internal platforms, and data‑driven insights - to accelerate product discovery, design, validation, and execution. We expect candidates to be comfortable using AI as a core part of how they work. As part of the product development cycle, you will collaborate with stakeholders, design new platform capabilities, validate them with customers iteratively, and help bring them to the world.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analyze the market and deeply understand how customers use Microsoft and competitive data platforms in real‑world scenarios
  • Identify user pain points and define a clear product vision and strategy to make customers dramatically more productive
  • Drive the product strategy and roadmap for key areas of the Fabric Data Warehouse you own
  • Define functional designs for new products and features, working closely with engineering and design partners
  • Track customer adoption and feedback, using telemetry and qualitative signals to validate progress and outcomes
  • Collaborate across engineering, design, marketing, and partner teams to ensure high‑quality delivery and launch
  • Evangelize new capabilities internally and externally through blogs, presentations, and customer engagements

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in the software industry, with a background in product management or engineering leadership
  • A degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field OR equivalent experience
  • Proven ability to drive complex initiatives from concept to delivery
  • Strong communication skills, but also technical skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and to be able to discuss complex technical issues with engineering
  • Experience with cloud technologies (as a builder or power user)
  • Solid understanding of SQL and data warehouse concepts (a strong plus)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (around 10%) for conferences, customer visits, or collaboration with teams in Redmond
What we offer:
  • Work on top-class product at a global scale
  • Shape the future of data analytics
  • Use some of the best AI and engineering tools in the industry and be encouraged to push them to their limits
  • Collaborate with world‑class engineers, PMs, and customers
  • Grow in a culture that values impact, learning, and ownership
