Job Description

This is a 6-month contract-to-full time employee opportunity. The role is fully remote for the first 12 months, after which the candidate will be required to relocate to Springfield, MO. MUST be USC/GC/GC EAD. Capstone IT is helping our client find a Product Manager who will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of enterprise payment solutions across retail stores, mobile applications, and digital commerce platforms. This person will own the payments ecosystem, working with internal business teams, technology leaders, and external vendors to improve customer payment experiences while ensuring scalability, security, compliance, and operational efficiency. They will drive payment modernization initiatives, manage vendor relationships, and develop long-term payment strategies that support business growth.

Job Responsibility

  • Own the enterprise payments product roadmap and long-term strategy
  • Define priorities and drive execution across multiple payment initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve payment experiences and operational efficiency
  • Manage payment technologies across stores, mobile, and eCommerce channels
  • Oversee payment processors, gateways, acquiring banks, middleware, and payment hardware
  • Evaluate emerging payment technologies and industry trends
  • Lead RFP processes and technology evaluations
  • Assess and select payment vendors and strategic partners
  • Manage vendor relationships and support contract negotiations
  • Partner with technology, architecture, finance, operations, security, legal, and compliance teams
  • Align stakeholders around priorities and execution plans
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and organizational readiness
  • Ensure PCI compliance and adherence to payment security standards
  • Define KPIs and measure business outcomes
  • Continuously optimize payment capabilities using performance data

Requirements

  • Experience managing products, platforms, or services through the full product lifecycle
  • Strong product roadmap and strategic planning experience
  • Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into product initiatives
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience managing stakeholders, priorities, risks, and organizational change
  • Knowledge of project planning and change management practices
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3–6 years of product ownership, product management, business analysis, payments, or related experience
