Job Description

The Product Manager – SoftPOS will own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of myPOS SoftPOS solutions, enabling merchants to accept contactless payments directly on smartphones and smart devices without dedicated hardware. You will work closely with engineering, payments, partnerships, compliance, and commercial teams to deliver a secure, scalable, and competitive SoftPOS product that meets merchant needs across multiple markets. This role requires a combination of payments expertise, strong product management fundamentals, and an understanding of mobile and payment acceptance technologies.

Job Responsibility

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for myPOS SoftPOS solutions
  • Define and deliver features that enable merchants to accept contactless payments via smartphones and mobile devices
  • Work closely with Engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable SoftPOS capabilities aligned with PCI CPoC / MPoC requirements and card scheme standards
  • Collaborate with payments, acquiring, and compliance teams to ensure product readiness across markets
  • Translate merchant, partner, and internal stakeholder needs into clear product requirements and prioritised backlogs
  • Manage integrations with payment platforms, SDKs, device manufacturers, and partner applications
  • Monitor product performance through KPIs such as adoption, transaction volumes, merchant usage, and conversion
  • Identify opportunities to improve merchant experience, onboarding, and payment flows
  • Work with commercial and marketing teams to support product launches, positioning, and go-to-market strategies
  • Stay informed on industry trends in tap-to-phone technology, mobile payments, and payment acceptance innovation

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of experience in product management, ideally in fintech, payments, or SaaS platforms
  • Experience working with payment acceptance products, POS solutions, or mobile payment technologies
  • Strong understanding of contactless payments, NFC technology, and mobile-based payment acceptance
  • Familiarity with SoftPOS / Tap-to-Pay standards (CPoC, MPoC) and card scheme requirements is highly desirable
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear product requirements
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, compliance, commercial, and partner teams
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using product metrics and data to inform decisions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Experience launching or scaling SoftPOS / Tap-to-Phone products
  • Understanding of Android device ecosystems and mobile SDK integrations
  • Experience working with acquiring platforms, payment gateways, or card schemes

  • Product Ownership: Lead the product strategy for our card processing capabilities across authorisation, clearing, settlement, ledger posting, reconciliation, and dispute resolution
