Job Description

We are looking for a consumer-obsessed, outcome-driven Product Manager to lead the evolution of our Search experience across mobile.de. In this role, you will take ownership of how millions of users discover the right vehicle, using modern AI capabilities, user insights, experimentation, and cross-functional leadership. You’ll work closely with engineering, design, data science, analytics, and other product teams to ensure that Search is fast, intuitive, relevant, and continually improving for consumers on both web and native apps.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and execute the product roadmap for Search across all platforms, aligned with consumer needs and business goals
  • Deeply understand consumer behavior through frameworks like Jobs To Be Done, user research, and analytics to identify opportunities to dramatically improve search relevance, usability, and satisfaction
  • Partner with Data Science, ML, and Engineering to enhance and explore AI/LLM-powered features such as smart suggestions and conversational search experiences
  • Drive measurable improvements in key metrics such as search-to-lead conversion, visits, engagement, and consumer satisfaction
  • Systematically use A/B testing to validate hypotheses and measure consumer and business impact
  • Collaborate closely with other Product Managers to ensure Search integrates seamlessly across the whole user journey
  • Identify and prioritise high-impact improvements by combining data insights, qualitative feedback, competitive research, and market trends
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders and leadership clearly and consistently
  • Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, ML specialists, and designers responsible for delivering an excellent Search experience on both web and native apps

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product management experience, ideally working on consumer-facing search, marketplace, large-scale platform, or AI-driven products
  • Comfortable working with AI technologies, curious about applying them to improve products or your productivity, motivated to leverage emerging capabilities, and able to collaborate naturally with DS/ML partners
  • Strong understanding of consumer-centric frameworks (e.g., Jobs To Be Done, opportunity sizing, experience mapping) to shape product direction
  • Strong analytical skills: proficient in interpreting data, forming hypotheses, and drawing insights from user analytics
  • Experienced in experimentation (A/B testing) and data-driven decision-making
  • Comfortable leading cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Excellent communication skills
  • you can bring stakeholders along and explain complex topics in simple terms
  • Ability to balance consumer needs, technical feasibility, and business impact
