The Product Line Purchasing Manager is located at our Troy, MI HQ. This position will mainly support our growth through “Mega Quotes” considering the entire APTIV Product-Portfolio. Support our NA Manufacturing footprint through Supplier selection/management and influence SCM Strategy Development to meet the needs of the all product lines involved while adhering to all corporate, divisional, and SCM policies and procedure.
Job Responsibility:
Lead a team of Program Line Purchasing Leaders, act as escalation point for PLPL’s, assign targets In line with business needs and ensure targets are being met.
Report out and lead presentations to top leadership.
Drive accountability and ownership of PLPLs.
Lead Supplier selection including the RFQ process, supplier evaluation and communication as well as key participation in sourcing decisions.
Manage global procurement activities for the Global Product Line across all customer projects worldwide.
Responsible for the change management process for Procurement as well as project planning.
Represent the SCM team when working across the functions (Sales, Engineering etc.) and lead technical supplier discussions.
Act as the central interface between the Global Product Line and central SCM team (material field related purchasing, quality functions).
Lead and represent SCM in global reviews with the Senior Management Team
Deliver committed material performance for projects globally. Drive Categories to deliver on P2P and Engineering to deliver on Design Cost Saving Initiatives
Support the business in research and use of new technology suppliers.
Manage global SCM financial Risk& Opportunity Tracker.

Local resident of Metro Detroit area with ability to work on campus
