Job Description:

As the Product Line Purchasing Leader – India, you will play a critical role in driving material performance, ensuring flawless program launches, and enabling competitive business pursuits across the region.

Job Responsibility:

  • Meet material performance across all categories, including P2P/NCP, Design Optimization, Inbound Logistics, Material Utilization, etc., for JP/KR/SG/IND businesses
  • Execute SCM Product Development Process (PDP) program management to meet flawless launch objectives (Quality, Operating Income & Revenue)
  • Support country business pursuit targets and ensure BOM competitiveness during pursuit, PDP, and mass production phases
  • Assure ongoing operational excellence of purchased materials within the product line throughout the program lifecycle (quality, delivery)
  • Support the country Growth Strategy and align with Category/SQ&D on supplier development strategies
  • Ensure program profitability by supporting the customer quoting process and acting as the material champion for winning new business
  • Support manufacturing footprint initiatives such as Best Cost Country (BCC), in-region-for-region sourcing, and VOI

Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar qualification
  • More than 10 years of experience in Global Supply Management with internationally operating corporations, including over 2 years in a supervisor/management role
  • Extensive knowledge of global electronics and mechatronics supplier bases and manufacturing processes for automotive applications
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships with the highest standards of ethics and integrity, and experience working proactively with suppliers to drive superior material performance
  • Proficiency in business finance to support key decision-making
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in demanding environments and effectively resolve conflicts
  • Strong proficiency in English
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office programs
