Boeing Global Services,Distribution Business, is looking for a Product Line Leader – OEM Proprietary Parts to join our team in Hialeah, FL, Chandler, AZ or Enfield, CT. The Product Line Leader – OEM Proprietary Parts will manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the Boeing Distribution portfolio of OEM proprietary parts. Working closely with the sales, customer support, customer programs and supply chain organizations on the execution and management of the related. Focuses on meeting the Product P&L and customer experience performance objectives, and related KPI (Sales, Net Income, OTD, Supplier and Customer Past Due, Free Cash, Inventory, etc.). Reporting to the Boeing Distribution Product Line and Services Sr Mgr for OEM & licensed Products, and supporting the Boeing Distribution GM, and Leadership Team. Team leader for individual contributors in the product line team, that report to the Sr Manager.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and coordinate all aspects of the OEM Product Line growth
Develop global Market Segment strategies – manage product life cycle in each segment and maximize the performance (Price, Sales, Gross Margin %, and inventory)
Includes strategic planning, and tactical activities and companywide go-to market sales plans
Develop sales and margin plan, account and market strategies, and price/negotiation campaigns, in conjunction with the regional sales organizations and Sales Managers
Analyze pricing strategy for the OEM product lines within BDSI to grow market share
identify pricing optimization opportunities
Assesses and maintains products' competitive position
Together with the ISC team develop and execute the Supplier Strategy for OEM products - Identify opportunities to expand distribution service agreements (DSA) with suppliers inclusive of exclusivity or royalties
Monitor cost of product
develop data and trend analysis
support and assist strategies to reduce part cost and identify alternate sources of supply
Assist in management of global product line forecast and validate planning system (JDA) output
develop and refine the risk profile for high value product line part numbers and make recommendations to Supply Chain on stocking levels for high-risk part numbers
Interface with Operations on product line specific OTD performance and global positioning of inventory
Work across PL teams, Supplier Management, and Sales on leveraging opportunities, primarily on interrelated components to establish pricing models
Responsible for assisting all Program Managers that have OEM product line program management requirements, which may include customer forecast development, assisting with price and cost analysis and initial provisioning
Conduct training and information sessions for the product line or specific products to the various functions within the region - focus on product knowledge and customer/part familiarization
Work closely with the BDSI Engineering Technical Support Services team to offer customer technical solution, and alternatives to develop new sources for supply or cost constrained parts
Requirements:
10 or more years of related work experience, preferably with an aerospace OEM
Experience in Product, Program and/or P&L Management
Experience working with major OEM in the aviation industry, preferably in fasteners manufacturing and/or distribution
Experience analyzing and effectively summarizing vast amounts of data across all facets of the business, to create actionable plans
Present recommendations to leadership and oversee execution
Experience Developing/Maintaining strong relationships internally and with external customers
Ability to define problems, develop metrics, and work with financial concepts to make effective wise decisions
Proficient with various inter-relational software programs (i.e. MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access.)
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
Related knowledge of aerospace fasteners and related market dynamics
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents
