The Staff / Senior Staff PLM Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for architecting, implementing, and governing Crusoe's global Product Lifecycle Management system. This role is essential for establishing the Enterprise Product Record, creating a single, authoritative source of truth for all product data. You will be the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) who drives the strategy and execution necessary to transition Crusoe into an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) operational model, optimizing our supply chain and accelerating our time-to-market for cutting-edge AI hardware and data center solutions.
Job Responsibility:
System Ownership & Roadmap: Own the end-to-end PLM strategy and technology roadmap
System Implementation Leadership: Lead the technical configuration and deployment of our chosen PLM platform
Data Governance: Architect and enforce a comprehensive governance framework for all product development processes
Integration & Ecosystem: Define the architecture for PLM system integrations with key enterprise platforms
BOM Management: Drive operational PLM activities to support both New Product Introduction (NPI) and Mass Production (MP) programs
Configuration Control: Architect and manage sophisticated multi-tier Bill of Materials (BOM) structuring, release, and maintenance
Change Management: Oversee all configuration management processes
Dual-Sourcing Enablement: Implement the necessary system architecture and workflows to formally manage alternate part numbers
Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the trusted advisor and single point of contact for PLM
Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current manual processes
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a directly related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, or Supply Chain Management), or equivalent practical experience
10+ years of progressive, relevant experience in Product Lifecycle Management or configuration management within a hardware, high-tech, or data center environment
Proven experience successfully delivering timely impact across multiple high-priority projects in a rapidly changing environment
Deep expertise in Bill of Material (BOM) buildout, change control, configuration management, and PLM standards
Expert-level knowledge and implementation experience with one or more major PLM tools (e.g., Arena PLM, Oracle Agile, SAP PLM, Siemens Teamcenter, or PTC Windchill)
Nice to have:
Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration (MBA)
Experience leading PLM implementation or migration efforts at a company transitioning to an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) or vertically integrated model
Proficiency in database management (SQL) and/or integration technologies required to connect PLM to ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Strong understanding of hardware engineering release processes, including mechanical CAD/drawings, PCB layout, and embedded software release within a PLM context
