Job Description:

You are part of the Product Development Platform Storage team at Range Area Bedroom Furniture in IKEA of Sweden working cross all Range Areas with storage furniture’s. As Product Lifecycle Engineer (PLE) you will be responsible for the support to the engineering team with administration, documentation, and verification activities. You will help to ensure that product information is up-to-date and according to IKEA documentation guidelines and standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for creating technical requirements and CAD drawings
  • Securing that technical product documentation is up to date and according to IKEA documentation guidelines and standards
  • Support our highly efficient engineering team
  • Finding and acting on gaps in product documentation
  • Working closely with development teams in several Range Areas
  • Give and take responsibility, lead yourself and work together with stakeholders from different functions and departments throughout our organization

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Passionate about keeping things in order
  • Committed and self-driven with a strong will to influence and make a difference
  • Working in a structured way and taking the lead in planning and executing your own work
  • Proficiency in CAD software and PLM (e.g. SolidWorks, Windchill)
  • Structured in your ways of working and you have strong analytical skills

  • Handle large quantities of information and work with several development teams and product areas in parallel
  • Self-motivated with a goal- and delivery-oriented mindset with a passion for details
