We’re building a subscription-based LegalTech product that enables users to generate legally sound, ready-to-use agreements through guided, self-service flows. We’re looking for a Product Legal Specialist to help design, review, and standardize legal agreement content that powers a new agreement wizard — starting with the US market and expanding internationally over time. This is not a traditional legal role. You won’t be handling disputes, compliance operations, or client advisory work. Instead, you’ll focus on turning legal knowledge into scalable product content: clear questions, modular clauses, and structured documents that can be generated dynamically based on user input. You’ll work closely with Product, Growth, UX/UI, and Engineering to ensure legal accuracy while keeping the product clear, usable, and fast to iterate.
Job Responsibility:
Create, review, validate, and refine legal agreement content used in document templates and generators
Support the development of standardized, ready-to-use legal documents (e.g. bills of sale, residential agreements, and similar templates)
Work closely with Product and Growth to translate legal requirements into user-facing questions, conditional logic, modular, reusable clauses
Help structure agreement content so clauses can be assembled dynamically based on user input
Ensure documents are legally sound, understandable, and suitable for self-service use by non-lawyers
Identify which content can remain generic and which must be jurisdiction-specific
Support expansion into new countries by reviewing and adapting agreement templates
Review and support document-related legal texts (e.g. disclaimers, document-specific terms)
Flag legal risks, unclear wording, edge cases, or misuse scenarios in document flows
Help define best practices for maintaining, updating, and versioning legal content
Requirements:
Law degree
2–4 years of legal experience, with at least 1–2 years in a product company, LegalTech, SaaS, or tech-enabled service
Strong understanding of contract law and standardized agreements
Experience working with product teams (PMs, designers, engineers), not just legal stakeholders
Excellent written English with the ability to draft clear, precise, user-friendly legal content
Ability to simplify complex legal concepts into product-ready language
