Adyen is looking for a Product Designer to join our Financial Products team in Chicago. We are responsible for building the financial backbone for the world’s leading platforms. As the lines between payments and banking blur, Adyen offers financial products like Accounts, Capital, and Issuing to enterprise platforms. In this role, you will connect high-stakes financial flows where precision is critical. You will translate complex business logic into trustworthy, well-crafted solutions for our business banking customers, while contributing to our design system and operational excellence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Take ownership of design projects from concept to hand-off
  • Translate complex user needs and business requirements into clear, intuitive flows and interfaces, including AI features
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure designs are feasible, viable, and delivered to a high standard
  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights to validate your decisions
  • Use and contribute to the Adyen design system, ensuring consistency across our product suite while identifying areas for improvement
  • Clearly articulate your design rationale to stakeholders and the wider team, and use the feedback to iterate and improve your work
  • Help maintain a high bar for quality by participating in design reviews, critiques, and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Share and collaborate on improving workflows using LLM tools

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Product Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 3-5 years in product/UX design, ideally within SaaS, B2B/Enterprise, or complex digital products and workflows
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to solve functional problems in complex spaces
  • Ability to translate strategy into solutions that are strong, scalable and considered at system level
  • Eagerness to learn about the payments industry and financial products, and to follow industry trends and innovations
  • Thrive in team environments
