Job Description:

The Product Engineering Manager leads a team of Food Engineering Specialists, develops sustainable and nutritional food solutions, and supports innovation within IKEA's Consumer-Packaged Goods area. Responsibilities include strengthening engineering capabilities, ensuring quality assurance, and optimizing team performance while aligning with IKEA's strategic goals.

Job Responsibility:

Drive the development of more sustainable and nutritional food products
Lead the team of engineering specialists within IKEA Food
Strengthen roles, responsibilities, and competence development within the team
Ensure quality assurance of new products
Optimize allocation of engineering specialists for projects
Secure succession planning and recruitment
Establish and deploy tooling and working methods
Lead engineering transformations for Consumer-Packaged Goods within IKEA.

Requirements:

Experience working within the Food Industry or equivalent in a global setup
Proven experience in product development and business development
Understanding of full value chain and stakeholder management
Leadership capabilities to lead a group of Food Engineering Specialists
Ability to motivate and coach team members
Strong communication and networking skills
Ability to improve existing ways of working.

Nice to have:

Experience in a Food retailer with global or regional presence
Interest in innovation and exploration of different perspectives
Ability to challenge established practices when needed.
