Job Description:

The Product Engineering Director is responsible for defining product strategy, working across Citi to engage applications teams to identity the need for new cloud products and services. The product manager will be responsible for cloud product service lifecycle, and new feature and product roadmaps. The Product Engineering Director will be instrumental in managing all products from design to implementation to ongoing performance monitoring according to business need and ensure that Citi makes appropriate strategic choices in onboarding, managing, and exiting of vendors from the product portfolio.

  • Build strong partnership with business stakeholders
  • Own development and communication of long-term vision and goals
  • Understand domain and competitive landscape
  • Inspire culture of test and learn experimentation and innovation
  • Leverage customer research and competitive analysis to drive investment choices
  • Own organizational planning and serve as representative to Executives
  • Make trade off decisions for category/division platform product portfolio
  • Own business and platform requirements for large enterprise
  • Set direction for platform design
  • Determine release goals
  • Create comprehensive user experience
  • Develop method for prioritization and triage of changes
  • Assess risk when making business decisions
  • Drive compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in a product line management, e-commerce, and/or strategic planning role
  • Significant experience building complex business and/or transactional models
  • Experience delivering high quality technology products/services in a high growth environment
  • Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
  • First-class leadership and influencing skills
  • Experience managing a Product Management Team
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and talent management skills
  • Technical engineering background with hands on experience of Terraform, Python, Java and GO
  • Extensive experience in delivering cloud modernization in large complex global organizations
  • Understanding of application architectures, cloud native services and automation
  • Product engineering leadership experience
  • 10+ years experience in a dynamic product management role
  • Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
  • High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams
  • 10+ years experience of delivering products that leverage cloud services
  • Proven software delivery experience
  • Strong technical understanding of software delivery, cloud native services, providers and tools
  • Experience in helping to identify, drive, and facilitate external partnerships
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Bachelor's/University degree
