Job Description:

Product Engineer position in Purchasing Development category area MPFG (Metal Plastic Float Glass) focused on leading engineering and quality agenda to improve customer satisfaction, working closely with suppliers to develop and secure production processes.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the engineering and quality agenda to improve customer satisfaction
Main contact towards suppliers
Work as part of business team to develop and secure production process
Handle quality deviations
Secure compliance with all IKEA requirements
Lead and involve resources to secure product development projects
Lead product development from technical point of view
Define evaluation & test requirements with Home furnishing business
Participate in Contract Review
Secure implementation of product documentation
Verify IKEA requirement documents are correct and complete
Contribute to development projects and design/product risk analysis
Organize product startup according to working methods

Requirements:

Engineering, quality and product/production development background
At least 7 years of relevant working experience
Good communication skills
Knowledge of product development tools
Proactive approach
Good understanding of Democratic design and customer needs
Knowledge of product requirements, standards and test methods
Knowledge of materials' properties and construction
Knowledge of production processes and technologies
